TULSA-- “I just think it’s not fair,” said Resident Lupita Romero.

Several residents at the Carriage Village mobile home park are outraged after they say management towed more than 30 vehicles Tuesday afternoon. Richard Harig said he’s lived at the mobile home park for five years, and says this is the first time management has unexpectedly towed vehicles.

“It’s costing people between $175 to $200 to get their vehicles back. The management walks up, sticks a sticker on and they tow them,” said Harig.

Residents acknowledge,  management limits residents to two vehicles per lot but they’re wondering why the sudden enforcement of that rule.

“When we made a contract with these people they told us we can park all the cars we have,” said Romero.

Harig said the property managers have refused to answer a lot of questions, and not just about parking.

“We have our rights too as a tenant we pay our lot rents every month, we’re supposed to have our two places, we’ve had rent increases, they’ve promised to do things, nothing’s getting done,” said Harig.

He said now it could take legal action, for residents to be treated fairly.

“They are discussing a Class Action lawsuit if we get enough signatures from people and see if we can’t stop this,” said Harig.

2 Works For You reached out to the managers at Carriage Village to ask them why they were towing. Management said they don’t wish to comment at this time.
