BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -  A 41-year-old man is in jail Wednesday morning after police arrested him for assaulting is wife in the 6300 block of S. 116th E. Ave.

Around 9 p.m. Tuesday, the wife called police saying Jack Campbell had hit her, tried to choke her and threatened her with both a knife and handgun.

The victim and her brother escaped the home before police arrived.

Police said based on Campbell's history, and threats he made to police, they called in a special operations team. They were later able to make contact with him after breaking a window around 1:30 a.m.

Officers said this incident is very similar to one they had with this couple two years ago resulting in Campbell's arrest.

This time Campbell will face charges for domestic assault and battery by strangulation and assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries on the scene.
