OSAGE COUNTY, Okla. -- A boil order was issued Saturday for some residents in Osage County.

The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality issued the boil order for rural water district 20 near Hulah Lake. Wah-Sha-She Park is also included in the boil order.

Those water customers need to boil their water or use bottled water for drinking, cooking and bathing, according to the Oklahoma DEQ.

The department also says the boiled water should not be used for baby formula.

It is also recommended that the following should only use an alternate source of water, such as bottled water:

  • The elderly
  • Children
  • Pregnant women
  • Those with weakened immune systems
  • Anyone who cannot boil the water for any reason
  • Anyone with special health concerns
