Bartlesville police: Man exposes himself in Food Pyramid store

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - A Bartlesville man was arrested after he allegedly exposed himself in a Bartlesville grocery store.

George Edward Brown, 51, facing a charge of indecent exposure, appeared in Washington County District Court Tuesday where the judge set his bond to $25,000 with a condition of no contact with the Bartlesville Food Pyramid store.

According to police, around 1:13 p.m. Sunday officers were dispatched to the Food Pyramid grocery store on the 2300 block of S.E. Washington Boulevard for a reported indecent exposure case.

Officers were told the man was in the store in front of the Bank of Oklahoma desk wearing a coon skin cap and exposing himself.

When police arrived they found the suspect, identified as Brown, standing at and facing a small counter in front of the bank. Officers then asking him to turn around saw Brown was "completely exposed through a hole in the front of his jeans," said the affidavit.

The report said the store was busy and many people were around him at the time.

Police arrested Brown and transported him to the Washington County jail where he was then booked.

According to the report, Brown is a registered sex offender and has been convicted for indecent exposure in the past.

Brown is due back in court on Feb. 3.
