AP Top 25 Preseason Poll released; Sooners ranked 4th while Cowboys are left out of Top 25

The Oklahoma Sooners are ranked 4th in the Associated Press Preseason Top 25 football poll.

The Sooners, who defeated Alabama in the All State Sugar Bowl last season, are just one of three Big 12 teams that made the AP's Top 25 Preseason Poll.

The Top 5:

1. Florida St. (57)
2. Alabama (1) 
3. Oregon (1)
4. Oklahoma (1)
5. Ohio St.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys did not crack the list but did receive 37 votes.

The two other Big 12 teams in the Top 25 are Baylor, at 10, and Kansas State, which came in at 20.
