Bixby residents will have to wait at least two weeks to find out if a controversial apartment complex will go up.
The 180 acres sits on the southwest corner of 121st and Memorial.
The city and residents want to see it developed, but residents are concerned that the proposed complex could hurt property value and overcrowd schools.
Several neighborhood associations have come together to gather signatures for petitions against an apartment complex.
But the City says the apartments would only take up 12 acres.
"We want the city to bring in sales tax, and we don't think apartments will bring in the high-end retail that we need," said Jan Swafford a resident.
"We do expect that all of that will develop fairly intensely, and we do anticipate a lot of that will be in high-end commerical," said Erik Enyart the Bixby City Planner.
The city council will take up the development issue February 22nd.
