A person of interest in the city's latest homicide is now in custody.  31-year-old Luis Mendoza is behind bars in Saint Louis.

He's being held there on immigration charges.  Tulsa detectives will head to Missouri to question him about a Monday morning homicide.

Police say about 2:30 Monday morning a group of people in a blue truck got into an argument with 20-year-old Eric Voctorino, that's when Voctorino was shot and killed.

It happened in a parking lot near 41st and Highway 169.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, just a mile and a half away, there was another homicide.

Police say an onlooker found the body of 41-year-old David Jackson in the road near a soccer field at 33rd and Mingo.

"Detectives do have a few leads they're working on right now.  It's something they're not prepared to release right now," said Officer Leland Ashley with the Tulsa Police Department.

Gayle Isaacs lives in the area.  He plays tennis at the courts near where Jackson's body was found.  He says there are certain times of day when he won't get out to the courts.

"You don't come here at nights.  I don't.  You don't come here on weekends," said Isaacs.

Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 596-COPS.
