A man convicted of killing a Tulsa girl learns his fate.

Marquis Bullock was found guilty last month of killing 13 year old Cori Baker in 2007.

Monday morning, a judge sentenced Marquis Bullock to life in prison with the possibility of parole. That was what the jury recommended.

13 year-old Baker went missing in November 2007, her body was found months later in a Sapulpa paintball field.

It was an emotional day in the courtroom.

Bullock's mother made a statement to the judge, claiming her son is innocent.

Cori Baker's father said his whole family's lives have been changed forever since the loss of Cori.

"I mean for two years it's been just unbearable, but we do feel some closure," said Daniel Baker.

The Baker family said they were satisfied with sentencing, but they would have preferred life with out parole.
