Water rescuues are reported in the Pryor and Claremore areas after heavy rains Friday morning.
Homes have been flooded in northern Cherokee County.
Route 66 in Claremore is now back open.
Highway 66 from J.M. Davis Blvd. to Rusa St. northbound and southbound into Claremore in Rogers county are closed.
Highway 20 east from Claremore and west of Pryor is closed. State troopers don't anticipate reopening Highway 20 until Saturday at the earliest.
Troopers recommend that travelers coming from Tulsa take US 412 to US 69 at Chouteau, then go north to Pryor.
All traffic coming from the Will Rogers Turnpike to exit at Claremore will be diverted to I-44 through Tulsa.
In central Mayes County around Pryor and Salina flooding has closed most back roads and some highways. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers are in the process of assisting the Fire Department's with rescue at this time.
Authorities there say there are too many roads flooded to name them.
They suggest not traveling in that area.
