Church members react to Daugherty's death

Last Update: 11/23/2009 5:01 pm
The news is still difficult for those who followed his teachings and who were students of ministries around the world.
"He's been on the front lines of everything and I can't believe he's gone i just can't accept it!," said David Harris.
For more than three decades Billy Joe Daugherty taught millions to love and forgive.
Words in this tribute song describes the work of his life.
Friends say his care for other people started the missionary trips that helped thousands in need.
That same devotion help open 523 Victory Bible Institutes in more than 80 countries.
After Daughtry was diagnosed with Lymphoma, those around him say his spiritual strength grew stronger.
"All the way through even in his last weeks his focus continued to be on the people and the congregation even when he was fighting for his own healing," said associate pastor Bruce Edwards.
Church officials say Daughtery's global work will continue as the family copes with the loss.
In lieu of flowers his family requests donations to the Victory Christian Center Missions.
