WASHINGTON, DC - Nearly 12,000 pairs of rollerblades have been recalled.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the mounting holes in the boot and frame of Tempest Inline Skates can be misaligned causing the boot to separate from the frame, posing a fall hazard.
There are nine models for men and six for women that have been recalled.
Consumers are urged to stop using the skates and contact Rollerblade USA for a free inspection and free replacement.
They were sold nationwide from December 2010 through January 2014 for between $350 and $450.
