Stay cool this summer with a pre-made Coolaroo Shade Sail.
They are available in a range of five sizes, each in five contemporary colors.
Coolaroo also has a line of party sails in bright colors perfect for temporary shade. These pre-made sails are constructed using a seat belt webbing sewn into the entire perimeter of the sail and each corner has a 2 inch stainless steel ring for attachment.
These sails also include a hardware package for easy installation. We recommend using steel or aluminum posts for your shade structure.
A minimum of 4 inch square or round posts with a 1/6 wall thickness. Where timbers are appropriate for temporary use a minimum of 5 inch thickness.
Required footing sizes for columns vary, depending on the size of the structure and the height of the post out of the ground.
An old conservative engineering principal is 1/3 in for 2/3 out. During high winds or heavy snows it is recommended that you remove the sails.
