Sperry man, 19, dead after crash in Tulsa County

TULSA COUNTY -- A 19-year-old Sperry man is dead after a crash in Tulsa County on Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred at about 7:40 a.m. on 86th Street North, just west of North Lewis Avenue, about one mile southeast of Sperry.

According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, the driver of a Mitsubishi Gallant who was headed westbound on 86th Street North collided head-on with the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado who was headed eastbound on 86th Street North.

Officials said the driver of the Chevrolet, identified as Austin Crawford, 19, was ejected from the vehicle and died after being taken to the hospital. The driver of the Mitsubishi had arm and leg injuries.

Officials said Crawford was not wearing a seat belt.

According to the accident report, the weather conditions were foggy.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
