Besides mums, there are several additional things that can be planted right now and they are pansies, fescue or rye grass and spring flowering bulbs!
Paul James, with Southwood Landscape and Garden Center, says that planting pansies will give you a pop of color through the fall and the cool weather is perfect for scattering fescue or rye grass seed. He says to not forget to plant your spring flowering bulbs now for amazing color next spring!
