It's Friday and that means High School Football in Green Country. On top of that, it's early November, a time when Friday night football games can be cold! But not this year, it will be warm and breezy tonight. In fact, the weekend looks wonderful with above average temps.
The strong south winds today, tapped into some warmer air over the southwestern U.S. and transported it into Green Country.
While the winds will be lighter tomorrow, the warm air is already here so tomorrow (Saturday) should be just as warm. We hit our forecast high of 68° Friday afternoon. Saturday should be close to 70 and Sunday might be a degree cooler but still nice.
Sunday is warm because Saturday afternoon an already weak cold front will become even weaker and becoming stationary. It will eventually wash out.
With the front washing out, Sunday and Monday will be warm. In fact, I am forecasting a high of 73 on Monday. But Monday night comes a big change. The strongest cold front of the season will arrive and we are going to have a hard freeze next Wednesday morning.
The cold air will stick around through the end of next week, but already warmer winds are showing up to raise our highs a week from today back into the 60s.
Have a great weekend,
