5-hour standoff Sunday ends with domestic violence suspect's surrender, arrest

TULSA - Tulsa police say a domestic violence call in north Tulsa turned into a five-hour standoff.

Police cruisers lined the street at the scene near 52nd Place and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Officers arrived around 3:15 Sunday afternoon and said the suspect was high on meth.

The TPD Special Operations Team was called in to assist and hours later 39-year-old Darin Bunch surrendered.

Around 8:15 p.m. Bunch was arrested on two counts of assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.
