Above-ground pools
When summer approaches the thought of diving into a pool of cool water is appealing. Many homeowners have found above-ground pools to be an affordable option.
Custom rock pools
Uniting your pool with the natural landscape and features of your home takes careful planning. In addition to building traditional pools, many designers like to create what's known as a 'negative edge effect'.
Diving pools
You can do a 'cannon ball' or a 'back twisting double gainer'. But safety in diving requires a pool that's properly constructed for the sport. Diving from the sides of a pool is not recommended if the pool's depth is less than six feet.
Formal pools
Formal pools are usually rectangular in shape with straight sides. They can be designed and installed as either concrete pools or as vinyl lined pools.
In-ground pools
When the weather heats up, homeowners often consider the advantage of owning a pool. Inground pools tend to be somewhat expensive to install but can be made in nearly any size and shape.
Lap pools
Before you purchase a pool, it's a good idea to think about how it will be used. Pools come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and can be designed specifically for leisure, recreation, diving, or exercise.
Natural pools
If your idea of a pool is a relaxing pond with a soothing rock waterfall, then a natural pool design may be right for you. Natural inground pools are normally made of concrete to allow the design flexibility required to create your own oasis.
Negative or disappearing edge pools
A pool with no visible coping or decking is referred to as a 'disappearing' or 'negative edge' pool. A 'disappearing edge' pool blends into the surroundings and looks like a natural part of the landscape.
Sports/play pools
Depending on your family's pool plans and interests, a sport or play pool may be just the pool design to meet your needs. Make sure the pool design will be able to adapt to your family's future interests and activities, designs for pools vary greatly with the intended use of the pool.
