CRITICAL CONDITION: Senate gets a visit and message

WASHINGTON D.C. -- Democrats brought in a top dog Tuesday to urge the passage of health care reform in the Senate.

Former President Bill Clinton is asking Senate Democrats to put aside their differences and pass a health care overhaul bill.

Clinton, and former First Lady Clinton both infamously failed to reform health care nearly 20 years ago. But today, he says the need for reform is greater than ever with excessive job losses and rising health care premiums.

Clinton called it and "economic imperative."

President Obama has signaled he wants to see some action on a bill before Thanksgiving. But many in the Senate aren't confident anything of note will happen before the end of the year.
