Who are the Tulsa singers, Alaska Holloway and Madi Metcalf, who competed on NBC's The Voice?

Local singing duo, Alaska Holloway and Madi Metcalf, performed during the Blind Auditions of NBC's The Voice Monday night.

They sang Barton Hollow by The Civil Wars.

Both Adam Levine and Blake Shelton turned around , but it was the hometown boy that got the girls vote. They picked Team Blake.

So who are these singing sensations?

Alaska, 19 of Broken Arrow, and Madi, 18 of Jenks, have been singing together on stage for six years. They met while touring with American Kids , an organization that gives talented children opportunities to perform under the direction of professional educators and entertainers.   

In 2011, the duo won American Kids' "Performers of the Year" with their performance of I Dreamed a Dream

They have gone on to release several singles and have most recently performed at The Full Moon in Broken Arrow.

Alaska graduated from Broken Arrow High School and while in school took part in both jazz and show choirs. She also starred as Cinderella in her 8th grade school play and played the role of Liesl in The Sound of Music during her senior year.  Currently, Alaska is a a vocal coach at Legato School of Music in Broken Arrow.

Madi graduated from Jenks High School and was a soloist in the nationally-ranked Jenks Trojanaires. She was also a member of  the Oklahoma All-State Jazz Choir and a 5-year member of the Oklahoma All-State Honor Chorus. In addition, she played the lead roll of Muzzy in “Thoroughly Modern Millie.”

Besides competing on The Voice, the girls will sing this week during Kristin Chenoweth's master class and concert event at the Broken Arrow PAC March 13.
