Local contestants from Tulsa appear on The Voice: Alaska Holloway and Madi Metcalf choose Team Blake

Alaska and Madi made their long-awaited appearance on The Voice, and they did not disappoint.

They sang Barton Hollow by The Civil Wars.

The singing sensations got both Adam Levine, who actually turned around first, and Blake Shelton to push their red buttons.

And that was when the fun really began.

When the girls told the judges they were from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Adam let out an expletive before asking, "Why do you have to be from there?!"

It didn't take Alaska and Madi long to decide, but they did get a little extra nudge from Blake.

"Don't disappoint your home state," Shelton told the girls. And with that, the duo selected Team Blake.

WHO ARE ALASKA HOLLOWAY AND MADI METCALF?

The girls are documenting their journey with their @TeamAlaskaandMadi Twitter handle, on their Facebook page and their own blog at http://alaskaandmadi.com/.
