Los Angeles prosecutors have decided not to press charges against retired footballer KEYSHAWN JOHNSON following an arrest for domestic violence last month (Apr14).
The sportsman became embroiled in a heated argument with his on/off girlfriend at his Calabasas, California home on 21 April (14), and a local who overheard the couple's shouting match became alarmed and called police.
Johnson, a former neighbor of Justin Bieber's, was booked for misdemeanor domestic battery and was released on $20,000 bail, but now authorities have chosen not to pursue legal action.
According to TMZ.com, officials determined the emergency call was an overreaction and the fight over a cell phone was not serious enough to require prosecution.
Johnson, who now works as a TV pundit for sports network ESPN, hit headlines last year (13) after fuming about Bieber's sports car-driving, fast-paced partying lifestyle in the gated community they shared in Calabasas.
They have both since moved out - Johnson sold his pad to Kourtney Kardashian in August (13), while Bieber offloaded his mansion to the reality TV star's sister Khloe in March (14).
