Good Wednesday evening.
Wow, it feels like Florida out there this evening. The humidity is up in the summer-time range, so are the temperatures. And it's going to be the same tomorrow and Friday before a cold front arrives.
Check out the graphic below or here -- http://bit.ly/1a0yANG -- for mobile users.
Look where the cold front is Friday evening -- still way out west of Tulsa.
Notice our Futurecast image doesn't have any rain in Green Country at 6 p.m. That's because it could take until 8 p.m. or later for rain and thunderstorms to fire up ahead of the front.
This is what will probably happen. A thin, fast-moving line of thunderstorms with gusty winds will race through here Friday evening, then early Saturday a second area of rain will develop behind the surface cold front and move into the Tulsa area.
The second area of rain would develop between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. Saturday.
Once that band of rain passes, we will dry out and have very fall-like conditions for the rest of the weekend. I'll have more on the timeline on 2News Works for You at 10 p.m.
