KAY COUNTY, Okla. - After hours of road closure, I-35 has been opened.

High winds caused the interstate to shut down south of Highway 11 near Blackwell for much of the afternoon.

Authorities said more than a dozen people were injured in 20 to 30 accidents during the wind storm, which created near blackout conditions with less than 10 feet of visibility in the area at its height.
