Oklahoma’s weather sure has turned up the heat but you can still find a great spot in the shade at one of our many lakes to go fishing.
If you aren’t into fishing there are still plenty of things to keep you busy at one of Northeast Oklahoma’s lakes. Just think camping, hiking, jet skiing, boating, even horseback riding or golfing.
Use this week’s fishing report provided by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation to find a new lake for you and your family to explore or to check lake levels and water conditions before you go out boating or fishing.
The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department also has a new website dedicated to current Oklahoma lake conditions. Their site includes information on water safety tips, blue green algae, lake updates and more. To visit their site, go to http://www.checkmyoklake.com/
