NORTHEAST
Bell Cow:June 10. Elevation normal, water 78 and clear. Bass good on plastic baits. Channel catfish good on dough bait, stinkbait, chicken liver and shrimp. Crappie good on minnows and jigs. Report submitted by Gary Emmons, game warden stationed in Lincoln County.
Birch:June 12. Elevation normal, water upper 70s and clear. Channel catfish good on chicken liver and worms. Blue catfish good on cut shad. Report submitted by David Clay, game warden stationed in Osage County.
Carl Blackwell:June 12. Elevation 6 ft. below normal, water 78. Saugeye good trolling crankbaits. Crappie fair on jigs. Catfish good on all baits. Report submitted by Jon Cunningham, game warden stationed in Payne County.
Chandler:June 10. Elevation normal, water 79 and clear. Bass good on spinnerbaits and plastic baits. Channel catfish good on dough bait, stinkbait and live bait. Crappie good on minnows. Report submitted by Gary Emmons, game warden stationed in Lincoln County.
Copan:June 10. Elevation normal, water clearing. Crappie slow on minnows and jigs at 3-5 ft. from boats around the lake and from the new fishing dock at Copan Point. White bass slow on white grubs in areas with large number of shad. Catfish good on cut shad, sunfish and worms below the dam and down the Caney River. Eucha:June 12. Elevation 1 ft. below normal, water 78 and dingy. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 12-14 ft. around brush and structure. Largemouth bass fair on plastic worms. Bluegill good on crickets and worms. Catfish food on juglines baited with cut shad. Report submitted by Dwight Moore, City of Tulsa.
Ft. Gibson:June 9. Elevation normal, water 80 and clear. Crappie good on Bobby Garland electric chicken and chartreuse jigs and minnows at 5-15 ft. White Bass good on white rooster tails around windy points. Largemouth bass good on topwater lures and buzz baits at 5-15 ft. Catfish excellent on juglines baited with liver or shad. Grand:June 12. Elevation normal, water 81. Largemouth bass good on jigs and worms off points. Catfish good on jugs with fresh cut bait and drift fishing above Sailboat Bridge. Greenleaf:June 11. Elevation normal, water clear. Largemouth bass good on spinnerbaits, crankbaits, bill baits and jigs-and-worm along mossy beds, brush structure and rocky points. Catfish fair on liver and fresh cut bait on bottom. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around fishing docks. Report submitted by Lark Wilson, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.
Hudson:June 11. Elevation normal. Largemouth bass good on plastic baits and crankbaits. Channel and blue catfish good on juglines baited with cut bait and cut shad. Report submitted by Steve Loveland, game warden stationed in Rogers and Mayes counties.
Hulah:June 10. Elevation 2 ft. above normal, water clearing. Crappie slow on minnows and jigs at 6-8 ft. Catfish fair on cut shad and worms below the dam. Report submitted by Joe Alexander, game warden stationed in Washington County.
Kaw:June 11. Elevation normal, water mid-80s and stained. Crappie improving daily on minnows or jigs at 5-15 ft. in standing timber and the backs of creeks or along the riprap and the fishing dock at the Osage Cove boat. Blue catfish good in the upper Arkansas River south of the river bridge east of Newkirk, there is access to the river by vehicle on the east side through the public hunting area. A map of this area can be found in the Oklahoma Water Atlas. A boat is not needed, fish can be caught from the bank using heavy tackle and fresh cut bait. Just a reminder vehicles must stay on maintained roads. Jug fishing has been good on the entire lake, using live bluegill or fresh cut bait. Hand fishing-noodling for flathead catfish is good and should get better through mid-July. Remember noodling is the taking of nongame fish by use of hands only. Possession of hooks, gaff hooks, spears, poles, sticks or ropes with hooks attached while in the act of noodling shall be proof of violation of the “hands only” noodling law.
