TULSA - Some swimming strokes make sense to me, and then again, others simply do not.
Here's trying to do something that is hard to figure out why it was even invented.
Usually, when you jump in the pool and try to get from one end to the other, it's either a freestyle stroke or the backstroke, which isn't as easy as it looks by the way.
But the breaststroke? Talk about going nowhere fast.

Tulsan Erica McGovern is glad the stroke was invented. She's heading for Arkansas on a swimming scholarship. Sounds like a good person to learn from.
Was the breaststroke strictly for competition or was their a purpose to it?
"Probably so all us with weirdly shaped feet could swim. I'm okay with it," Erica said.
The concentration is very intense. And that's what I admire about Erica. She knows what it takes to be an Olympian.
"I get excited but I don't usually yell at the TV, I usually just sit there and go like...aahhhh...waiting in anticipation because I know they know what they are doing," said Erica.
As for me? I have no clue as to what I'm doing.
