MIAMI, Fla. - Another Cinderella season for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
OKC may have been only three wins away from a better ending, but this young team defied the odds to even represent the West in the NBA Finals.
Mavericks, Lakers, Spurs -- the last 13 Western Conference champions, and all three trumped by the home team.
The team will learn plenty of lessons from this experience and should come back next year a little more seasoned, a little more ready for primetime.
The good news: they're already looking toward next season.
"I wouldn't want to play for anyone else; I wouldn't want to play for any other city," Kevin Durant said following OKC's elimination. "I'm just blessed to be a part of this organization and hopefully we can get back."
