Dwight Howard has ended all the speculation and chosen to take his talents to Houston.
ESPN reports say Howard has notified the Mavericks, Warriors and Hawks they are out of the running for his services. Howard has also told the Lakers, he will not re-sign with the team according to ESPN's Chris Broussard.
Howard has not personally made his decision public yet, but Houston seemed to be the front runners after Howard's meetings with the five teams. Golden State made a late push to lure Howard to the Warriors, but that option seemed to be less feasible after the Warriors committed to a sign-and-trade for Andre Iguodala.
Now with Howard in Houston, other trade possibilities are filling the sports pages. Current Rockets center Omer Asik is unwilling to be a backup, according to an ESPN report. Rumors are also flying that Howard's good friend Josh Smith may join him in Houston this offseason.
