NEW YORK - Not a bad career so far for Brandon Weeden.

Ten years after being selected in the second round of the Major League Baseball draft by the New York Yankees, the former Cowboy slinger goes to the Cleveland Browns with the 22nd pick in the 1st round.

Weeden was the fourth quarterback behind Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III and Ryan Tannehill to be selected in this year's draft.

Leading up to Thursday night, much was made about Weeden's age, he'll be 29 in October, but the Browns didn't appear to be too concerned about it.

"I can win some football games. That's one thing you can't take away from me. I can be 28 and all that other jazz. But I'll tell you what, I win football games. There's no doubt about it," Weeden told ESPN analyst Jon Gruden in a recent interview.

He's right.

In his two seasons as the starting quarterback in Stillwater, Weeden led the Cowboys to 23 wins, in 26 games, including two bowl victories, a 12-1 record in 2011 and the #3 ranking in the final BCS standings.

Weeden completed 72 percent of his passes for 4,727 yards and 37 touchdowns last season.
