TULSA - The University of Tulsa will introduce its new head basketball coach Wednesday at a press conference.
Danny Manning comes to the University of Tulsa on the heals of the NCAA Championship game in which his current team, the Kansas Jayhawks, found themselves.
"We are extremely excited to have Danny join the University of Tulsa as our new head basketball coach," said Ross Parmley, director of athletics, after the announcement was made last Friday. "He epitomizes everything our university stands for. His impact on young people will extend far beyond the TU basketball program and reach well into our campus and community."
Manning, 46, has served nine years at KU.
In the end, his team came up short Monday night against Kentucky.
The introduction is at 2:30 p.m. in the ONEOK Club at H.A. Chapman Stadium.
