TULSA (AP) -- The University of Tulsa spring football game and the unveiling of a statue of former TU star Glenn Dobbs are scheduled for Saturday.
The spring game is to begin at 1 p.m. at H.A. Chapman Stadium while the statue unveiling is to be at noon just outside the north gates of the stadium.
Dobbs was an All-American tailback at Tulsa where he helped the Golden Hurricane to a Sun Bowl win in 1942 and to an appearance in the Sugar Bowl the next season.
Dobbs returned to Tulsa in 1961 as head football coach and led TU to the 1964 and 1965 Bluebonnet Bowl games.
