NORMAN, Okla. - Looking to bring toughness to his team, OU head coach Bob Stoops hired Bob Bedenbaugh as coach of the offensive line.
The move was announced Sunday.
Bedenbaugh comes to Norman from West Virginia where he filled the same position for the Mountaineers.
He's been a college assistant for 18 seasons, including seven with Mike Leach at Texas Tech.
"You have to play the position a certain way. You have to play it tough, you have to play it physical. You gotta be mean and ya gotta be nasty and obviously, the fundamentals and the techniques, that's important as well," said Bedenbaugh. "But there's only one way to play and o-line and that's what I'm gonna stress to these guys."
