AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- The No. 12 Texas Longhorns will be without two starters on defense Saturday night against Oklahoma State, the highest-scoring team in the nation.
Texas trainer Kenny Boyd said Friday that linebacker Jordan Hicks is out with a hip injury and defensive tackle Brandon Moore is sick with a virus.
Neither made the trip to Stillwater, Okla., for the game.
Hicks is the Longhorns' leading tackler.
Texas (3-0) also is still without transfer kicker Anthony Fera, who has not played this season because of a groin injury. Fera transferred from Penn State and was expected to take over the starting role.
Starting kicker Nick Jordan is 3 of 7 on field goal attempts.
