STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- Coach Mike Gundy says he'd be surprised if injured starting quarterback Wes Lunt is able to practice with Oklahoma State on Tuesday.

Gundy hasn't yet ruled him out to play in Saturday night's game against No. 12 Texas.

Gundy says a cast that had been immobilizing Lunt's injured left knee has been removed and that reports from the team's training staff have been positive. However, he's still unsure whether Lunt will be able to play against the Longhorns (3-0).

The Cowboys (2-1) will release their weekly injury report on Friday.

Gundy says he doesn't think withholding Lunt's status would be advantageous. He believes Texas is preparing to face backup J.W. Walsh.
