TULSA - Tulsa police have named a person of interest in the city's latest homicide.
Shortly after midnight Monday morning, neighbors near Heller Park at 55th & S. Wheeling Ave. heard gun shots and called 911.
When police arrived they searched the parking lot and found the body of a woman inside a red Chevy Cavalier.
They say it appears the woman, identified as Kimberly Ann Ragland, 29, was shot to death.
Police say a male wearing a black hoodie, white t-shirt and khaki cargo shorts was seen running from the park.
They described him as standing about five feet, eight inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds.
Later Monday morning, TPD released the name of James Darton, 24, calling him a "person of interest" in the case.
Police ask that anyone with information on the shooting, or the whereabouts of James Darton, contact Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS (2577).
