VINITA, Okla. - A Vinita woman was killed in a Craig County accident early Sunday.
Highway patrol troopers say 46-year-old Shelly Long died at a Vinita hospital just after 4 a.m. Sunday.
Long was driving a car about 2 miles south of Vinita when the car left the road, struck a guardrail and went off a bridge. The car rolled onto its top in a creek bed, submerging the vehicle.
Long was pinned inside the car for about 25 minutes.
A 22-year-old passenger was treated and released from a local hospital.
Troopers list alcohol as the cause of the crash.
