TWIN OAKS, Okla. - A Tahlequah man was killed and a Tulsa woman injured in a Delaware County accident early Saturday.
Highway patrol officials say 60-year-old James Ray Ferguson and a 59-year-old female passenger were riding a motorcycle on U.S. Scenic 412 near Twin Oaks when a car driven by 25-year-old Shalea LaDawn Hilderbrand ran a stop sign and hit the motorcycle.
Troopers say Ferguson and his passenger were thrown at least 60 feet from the motorcycle.
Ferguson died while en route to the hospital. His passenger was admitted in fair condition.
Hilderbrand and her two passengers were uninjured in the accident, troopers say.
