LUTHER, Okla. (AP) -- Oklahoma County sheriff's deputies say they've arrested a man suspected of looting a home at Luther that was evacuated because of wildfire.
The department said in a news release that a witness called authorities after seeing a man running out of an evacuated home about 1 p.m. The department said the witness followed the suspect until a deputy arrived and stopped the suspect's vehicle.
Deputies say the man admitted taking a flat screen television from the home and that the homeowner later told authorities that no one had permission to take anything from the house.
The man was arrested on complaints of second-degree burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Homes in the Luther area were ordered evacuated Friday because of a wildfire that was raging in the area.
