McALESTER, Okla. - A prisoner has been found dead in his cell at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary at McAlester, according to prison officials.

Fifty-five year old William Eugene Davis was found Monday around 6:35 a.m.

Davis was incarcerated in March 2010 on three first-degree murder charges in Cleveland County.

Davis had a cell partner at the time of his death.

The Oklahoma Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy and determine the cause of death.
