OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Authorities say a police standoff ended peacefully Sunday when a SWAT team forced its way into an apartment where a stabbing suspect had barricaded himself along with his two children.
Oklahoma City police say the suspect was taken into custody without incident after the nine-hour standoff at Willow Cliff Apartments.
According to police, the man barricaded himself inside his apartment along with his 14-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter. Police say the man allegedly stabbed his wife at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
His wife escaped the apartment by jumping out of a window. Police say she is in stable condition.
The children were not injured and the man is in police custody.
