LANGSTON, Okla. - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting Langston police in a weekend homicide investigation in Logan County.

Police responding to the shooting call around 6:30 Friday night found 50-year-old Michael Milton shot to death.

Investigators believe the Milton was attempting to steal a car from a homeowner's front yard when the homeowner tried to stop him by taking the keys from the ignition.

When Milton kept driving with the homeowner hanging from the driver's side window, another man who lived in the home fired several shots from a handgun, striking Milton an unknown number of times and causing him to crash the car a block from the home.

The homeowner was not hurt.

As of Monday morning, no arrests have been made.
