OSBI investigates Hughes County homicide

HUGHES COUNTY, Okla. - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations is investigating an apparent homicide near the town of Calvin, southeast of Oklahoma City.

Hughes County deputies were called to a home where several people were having a social gathering around 6 a.m. Sunday.  Upon arrival, deputies say they found 21-year-old Michael Morris dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Deputies arrested Joe Henry Harden, 22, at the scene for the shooting.

Agents with the OSBI, involved after Hughes County Sheriff Office has asked OSBI for assistan are processing the crime scene and interviewing those who were in the area at the time of the shooting and any others who may have information helpful in the investigation.

Harden was booked into the Hughes County jail on a complaint of first degree murder.
