OKLAHOMA CITY - A group of Oklahoma National Guard soldiers returned home Friday after serving in Afghanistan.
Around 30 members of the 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team arrived at the Norman Armed Forces Reserve Center Friday.
This is the second group of 45th soldiers to return to Oklahoma during a de-mobilization process. Several dozen soldiers have already returned from duty.
Approximately 10 more groups are expected to return in the coming months.
Nearly 2,200 Oklahoma National Guard soldiers from the 45th deployed to Afghanistan in June are in various stages of the de-mobilization process.
An additional 800 soldiers from the 45th deployed to Kuwait at the same time are also in the process of de-mobilization.
