Oklahoma City police recruit killed in training

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma City police say a recruit who was injured in a training accident Friday has died.

Police said Sunday that the trainee had surgery after the accident during a training exercise.

The Oklahoman (http://is.gd/oFB6gl ) reports that officials were still trying to notify the recruit's family. The trainee's name wasn't released.

Police said more information would be released Monday.
