OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office says a deputy was accidentally shot in the leg during a training exercise at the office's gun range.

Sheriff's spokesman Mark Myers says the deputy was wounded Monday and taken to a hospital for treatment-- but that the injury is not life-threatening.

The names of the deputy and others involved in the shooting were not released.

The gun range is located at the department's training facility on the east side of Oklahoma City.
