OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- An Oklahoma City-based charity is sending three truckloads of relief supplies to areas of Louisiana hit hard by Hurricane Isaac.
Feed The Children is sending one truck from its facility in Elkhart, Ind., and two more from its headquarters in Oklahoma City to New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Lake Charles, La. The food and supplies are expected to be delivered early next week.
Feed The Children spokesman Mark Opgrande says the supplies include food, personal care items, ready-to-eat meals and cleaning supplies.
He says additional trucks could be sent as needed, and that the charity is soliciting items including water, diapers, baby food, cleaning supplies and tools.
