LAWTON, Okla. - Highway patrol officials say an 18-year-old Waurika man was killed after a high-speed chase in Comanche County.
Officials say officers from the Geronimo Police Department saw a motorcycle driven by 21-year-old Wolf Andrew Manuel driving at at a high rate of speed on Highway 277 around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police say Manuel did not stop and officers began pursuit until losing sight when Manuel reached speeds over 100 miles per hour.
Officers say they later found the motorcycle off the roadway and both riders were on the ground.
Manuel was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
His passenger, 18-year-old Zachary Lynn Richardson, was pronounced dead at the scene from massive internal injuries.
Investigators say they detected an odor of alcohol at the scene.
