NORMAN, Okla. - Authorities have apprehended the second of two runaway inmates in Canadian County, an Oklahoma City affiliate tells 2NEWS.

Taylor Brotherton, 28, was arrested Monday afternoon in Norman, according to KFOR.

A traffic stop led to the arrest of 21-year-old Chase Clemons Monday morning, but Brotherton managed to escape on foot and was believed to be armed.

Brotherton and Clemons were reportedly working at the McClain County Expo Center in Purcell when they stole the keys from a county vehicle and drove away. Both men were from Oklahoma City and jailed for drug possession.

Norman police say several schools were locked down as law enforcement searched for the suspects.
