OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- New Miss Oklahoma Alicia Clifton admits to feeling "a little bit of pressure" due to the success of previous Miss Oklahomas in the Miss America pageant.
Oklahoma is tied with California and Ohio for the most Miss America titles -- each state has produced six winners since the national pageant began in 1921.
Clifton said Monday that thinking about that success can be intimidating -- but said she plans to be prepared and to enjoy herself.
The 20-year-old Clifton is a broadcast journalism major at the University of Oklahoma who was crowned Miss Oklahoma Saturday night in Tulsa.
She said Monday that her win is "still a shocker" to her.
