OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Prosecutors in Oklahoma City have filed felony child neglect charges after a 7-year-old boy who was left home alone died in a house fire.
Prosecutors filed the charges Monday against Noemi Lopez and Antonio DeJesus Guillen. Authorities say Lopez is the mother of Adrian Roberto Avalos and Guillen is her boyfriend.
Adrian died in a house fire that broke out late April 28. According to The Oklahoman, authorities allege that Lopez and Guillen left the child alone to go to a bar and didn't return home until 2 a.m. Authorities did not know if either had an attorney.
Two others have been charged with first-degree murder in Adrian's death. Authorities allege that the house was intentionally set on fire during a burglary
